Kevin Donahue to make second series start in Lucas Oil 150 at PIR

After making his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Martinsville Speedway, 22 year-old Kevin Donahue, looks to make his second series start in the Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix international Raceway in the #71 Chevy Silverado.

“By the time I get to Phoenix,” says Donahue.  “My heart will be racing. Hopefully I run as fast as my heart will be beating.  I’ve dreamt of driving at the tracks that NASCAR’s top series race on, so to just be in the field for the penultimate race for the inaugural truck series Chase for the Championship is amazing.”

Team owner Mike Mittler has been impressed with Kevin.  “Kevin ran well at Martinsville, even if we didn’t get the finish we were looking for. He has proven himself on all types of tracks. When we did the test session with Kevin and you would have never known it was his first time in our truck.  I think his experience on all kinds of tracks across the US will pay dividends at Phoenix. I’m very enthused about Kevin and his future.”

“This race is all about seat time,” says Donahue.  “My brother Kyle and I made our truck series debuts at Martinsville and our focus now is on 2017.  He and I are actively searching for marketing partners to sponsor both our efforts next season.  Kyle and I believe we can offer sponsors a very cost-effective business model for a successful motorsports marketing program.”
