No. 14 California Clean Power Chevrolet to Feature Throwback Paint Scheme From Inaugural Truck Series Race

n conjunction with NTS Motorsports, California Clean Power is pleased to announce that the No. 14 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Daniel Hemric will sport a special throwback paint scheme for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ 500th race on September 26 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

As a tribute to all those who contributed to the success of the NCWTS over the past twenty years and Rick Carelli, his spotter and NTS Motorsports General Manager, Hemric’s No. 14 will carry the design and colors of the iconic Chevrolet Silverado that Carelli drove in the inaugural truckrace at Phoenix International Raceway on February 5, 1995.

Carelli, a time-honored fixture in the NASCAR garage known as “The High Plains Drifter,” has been an integral part of the Truck Series since its inception, when it was called the NASCAR SuperTruck Series.

“It’s truly been a wonderful experience working with Rick,” said Bill Gallaher, Chairman of the Board of California Clean Power. “Being able to tap into his knowledge has been invaluable to Daniel’s progress and success in his rookie season in NASCAR.”

Long time fans of the sport and the Truck Series will instantly recognize the red, blue, white and orange colors of Carelli’s Chevrolet. He was a regular in the Truck Series from 1995 until 2002, competing in 134 races, scoring four wins and 22 top fives.

“Rick’s been an inspiration,” said Hemric. “As a successful driver, he has tremendous insight on a wide range of topics, both on the track and off. It’s hard to really describe how important it’s been for me to have him to lean on. It’s a real advantage. It’s truly an honor for me to be able to take part in this tribute to both Rick and the series this week.”

A specially designed collector’s item hero card will be available at the race.
