Tyler Reddick Bristol Motor Speedway Recap

Tyler Reddick (@TylerReddick) certainly won’t forget his Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway debut – and for all the right reasons.

The driver of the Draw-Tite Ford F-150 scored an eighth place finish in the UNOH 200 and retained the lead in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship standings by six points.

Tyler’s 12th top 10 finish of the 2015 season was the result of driving a smart and steady race.  Although he started in 19th position, he successfully made his way through the heavy traffic during the early stages of the race.

He pitted for four tires and fuel on lap 33 and restarted 17th when the race went back green on lap 38.  Reddick was 14th when he made his second stop of the night on lap 81 under the second caution of the race and lined up 11th for the restart on lap 89.

Reddick did a nice job during this run, climbing up to 10th by lap 113.  He was 12th when the race was slowed by the fourth caution of the race for an accident on lap 161.  Just a few minutes later the race was halted for rain – a delay that lasted 45 minutes – but NASCAR officials were able to dry the track and went back green on lap 175.

As the event entered its closing stages, Reddick found himself racing for a top 10 finish.  He was ninth by lap 177 and climbed up to eighth on lap 188.  He was running 10th when the fifth and final caution slowed the race on lap 197, pushing the race into a green-white-checkered finish.

The final restart was good to Reddick.  He picked off two positions over the last two laps to score an eighth place finish – his 12th top 10 in 14 races this season.
