Tyler Young looking to rebound in Charlotte

Despite an early exit during last Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS, Tyler Young, driver of the No.02 AKL Insurance Group Chevrolet Silverado, already has his sights set on a comeback for this weekend’s race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway (CMS).

With a minor setback in Kansas, Young slipped three spots to 15th in the NCWTS driver point standings. However, just 12 points behind 10th-place, Young is in a good position to make up the short distance at a track he has two previous career starts at. Aside from his previous starts at CMS, his crew chief Bryan Berry also has prior success at the track with seven starts under his belt, including a third place finish with driver Brendan Gaughan in 2008.

With the will to overcome adversity and continued valuable time behind the wheel, Young is confident that Friday night’s NCWTS race at CMS could hold his career first top-10 finish.

Sounding Off – Tyler Young:

“I’m really optimistic about what the weekend in Charlotte will hold for us. While we didn’t get the result we had hoped for in Kansas, we still made progress in our overall performance. Things are looking up for our Young’s Motorsports team, and I’m confident that we can rebound Friday, and hopefully score that first top-10 we’ve been working so hard to get.”
