The field went green shortly after 8:00 p.m. ET. at the 0.437-mile Michigan track with Sawalich and Gavan Boschele on the front row. It didn’t take long for Sawalich to clear for the lead.

Sawalich continued holding serve at the front of the field through the first race break. With 77 laps on the board, Sawalich, Perez, Hingorani, Scott, and Boschele sat top five.

The field returned to green-flag action at lap 80 with Sawalich and Perez battling for the lead. Perez, piloting the No. 2 Chevrolet for Max Siegel Inc., managed to grab the lead from Sawalich.

Sawalich ran the No. 2 Chevrolet back down to take the top spot seven laps later.
