Cole Hauser, star of the hit Paramount Network series “Yellowstone,” will serve as Grand Marshal of the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sept. 15.
Hauser will give the iconic “drivers, start your engines” order prior to the 267-lap race, which will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network at 4:15 p.m. Pacific Time. He has played Rip Wheeler in “Yellowstone” since 2018, and the show recently finished its second season as the No. 1 summer series on cable TV, averaging 5.1 million viewers per episode.
The 44-year-old from Santa Barbara, Calif., made his big-screen debut in “School Ties” in 1992 and is perhaps best known for his role in the 1993 cult classic “Dazed and Confused.” Hauser received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for his role in “Tigerland” and won Movieline’s Breakthrough Performance Award for his portrayal of Ray Pruitt in “White Oleander.”
Hauser also has appeared in “Good Will Hunting,” “Hart’s War,” “Tears of the Sun,” “A Good Day to Die Hard” and “2 Fast, 2 Furious,” just to name a few.
