Garrett Smithley drove the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 0 Chevrolet to a 25th-place finish in Sunday’s Drive for the Cure 300 Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Smithley started 29th and raced mid-pack throughout the event. He ran as high as 23rd. He remained 18th in Xfinity points.
“We settled sort of in the middle early in the race,” Smithley said. “We would gain a little and then fall back some. Charlotte is a tough track, but we got in a bunch of laps and will have a better notebook there for next time.”
