An early-race accident left Ross Chastain with a 37th-place finish in Saturday’s Hisense 200 Xfinity Series race at Dover International Speedway.
Chastain started 18th with a strong car but was involved in an accident with Dakoda Armstrong in turn one. The accident caused the race’s second caution flag.
“In the garage way, way too early,” Chastain said. “Just not a good day for us. We’ll move on to Charlotte.”
Chastain, who drove the Heroes Haven/Natchez Shooters Supplies Chevrolet Saturday, is 15th in Xfinity driver points.
