Joe Nemechek, a 23-year Sprint Cup Series veteran and 1992 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion, will drive the No. 34 CSX “Play It Safe” Ford at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.
“David (Ragan) has been and still is an outstanding spokesperson for our campaign. Our goal with the ‘Play it Safe’ program is to save lives by reminding motorists and pedestrians not try to beat a train at a grade crossing or walk along railroad tracks. It’s a message so important that everyone can be a part of promoting it,” says John Claybrooks, CSX Director of Brand, Digital Media & Marketing Communications. “We look forward to Joe carrying this important message for us as well.”
Nemechek has three top-five and seven top-10 finishes at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
