Jeffrey Earnhardt finished 23rd in Friday night’s John R. Elliott Hero Campaign 300 Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway.
The run was Earnhardt’s second straight 23rd-place finish for the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team. Earnhardt, sponsored by BCL Auction at Kentucky, is 17th in Nationwide driver points.
Earnhardt started 26th and ran in the 20s much of the evening. He finished two laps down.
“We keep learning, week by week,” Earnhardt said. “It’s good to finish these races and get the laps in. We could have finished a little better, but we’re gaining knowledge every week.”
Kevin Harvick won the race as Sprint Cup regulars finished in the first four spots.
