Jeffrey Earnhardt sliced through traffic in the closing laps and came home 16th Saturday in a wild Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Earnhardt, who started 39th, was 19th with seven laps to go but made passes and was 16th at the finish.
“It’s always tight trying to move through the draft near the end at Talladega, but we were able to get some spots,” said Earnhardt, who drove the Fast Wax Chevrolet. “I would have liked to have gotten in the top 10, but we’ll settle for that and move on.”
The finish boosted Earnhardt two spots to 15th in the Nationwide point standings.
