Bryan Ortiz and his No. 4 Rev Racing Toyota team will take to the 3/4-mile Richmond International Raceway tonight for the fourth race on the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule.
Ortiz scored a seventh-place finish in his first RIR outing in 2012, which then served as his first career top-10 finish in the K&N East division. In a year’s span, Ortiz has amassed 10 more top-10 finishes, including a third-place score in this year’s inaugural UNOH Battle at the Beach at Daytona International Speedway.
Bryan Ortiz, on racing at Richmond… “We had a really good run last year at Richmond, gaining nine positions from the start of the race to the end (for a seventh-place finish), so I’m really looking forward to returning,” said Ortiz. “I’m anxious to build on what we were able to do in Pensacola.”
Last outing… In his debut race at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Fla., Ortiz qualified fifth and finished sixth after climbing to as high as third during the 150-lap event. The finish helped him pick up five positions in the division point standings, leaping from 18th to 13th.
