Leavine Family Racing Names Dan Pikarsky as Vice President of Business Development

As Leavine Family Racing (LFR) continues to build its team in key areas, the No. 95 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team with driver Scott Speed announced today that Dan Pikarsky has been named Vice President of Business Development.

To further bolster its preparation for sponsorship opportunities for the 2013 season, Pikarsky will supervise Leavine Family Racing’s brand and sponsorship programs.

“We are very pleased to have Dan Pikarsky join our racing family. He adds significant experience, insights and skills in several needed areas to an already strong team,” said Bob Leavine, team owner. “With his input, guidance and leadership, we are excited to build our sponsorship partners that will help drive the future growth of our program.”

Pikarsky joins Leavine Family Racing from Petty’s Garage in Level Cross, where as the senior director of business development and partnership, he was instrumental at Petty’s Garage and the 2012 Petty’s Garage Performance Tour. He was also influential in launching the first 2012 Richard Petty Signature Series Ford Mustang GT with a display at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. At Petty’s Garage, he worked with the Richard Petty Motorsports Petty Family Foundation, and Victory Junction.

Prior to his time at Petty’s Garage, Pikarsky took a leave from the motorsports industry to team up with long-time friend Stephen Pearcy. Pikarsky was tour manager for WBS Entertainment with the rock band RATT where he managed an 85-city national tour.

The New York native, who has more than a dozen years of motorsports experience, has also held senior roles with Tuttle Motorsports, and Cagnazzi Racing. During his tenure at Cagnazzi Racing the team held the honor of being the 2007 NHRA World Champions.

“I feel truly blessed,” Pikarsky said. “I have been lucky enough to have championship success in the past. I excel in start-up family-owned professional motorsports teams. I see this as the next spring board to my professional motorsports career.”

As part of Leavine Family Racing’s commitment to building a best-in-class team, Pikarsky’s experience in these key areas will be extremely valuable, as he will be responsible for creating mutually beneficial partnerships for Corporate America and to incorporate sponsorship opportunities throughout the team’s platform.

“The economy the last few years has not been that stable – it is definitely back,” Pikarsky commented. “Scott Speed is one of ‘those’ drivers because he has had that higher level of motorsports. This guy has not only been taught on the track by the best, but how to market by the best.”

Pikarsky will be based in Leavine Family Racing’s Concord office.
