Due to the latest Federal safety guidelines regarding the coronavirus, the April 18th PASSCAR Stock Car Series/IMCA Modified race and the “Sokola Shootout” for the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars on April 25th at Perris Auto Speedway have been postponed.

Promoter Don Kazarian has indicated that both races, plus the March 14th  PASSCAR/IMCA race and the April 4th Night of Destruction, will be made up later in the year.  Details for the makeup dates will be released as soon as there is a clear picture of when the season can be resumed.

Unfortunately,  the “3rd Annual Up Down ‘N Dirty 4 A Cure Mud Run Benefiting The American Cancer Society” has been canceled for 2020.  That popular event will return in 2021.

Don Kazarian and the entire PAS staff are urging everyone to please take all necessary steps to stay safe and healthy.  We look forward to seeing everyone back at the track as soon as it is possible.

After over 100,000 people tuned in for the broadcast of the first win for the Toyota Camry at Indianapolis Raceway Park in 2007 on Toyota Racing social media channels this past Wednesday, the platforms will continue to broadcast historical achievements by streaming multiple other milestone events during the break in on-track action over the coming weeks.

“After the high levels of fan engagement this past week during our broadcast of that historic first win for Camry, we are pleased to continue this series both to give our fans some on-track action to enjoy as well as to highlight big moments in our NASCAR history,” said Paul Doleshal, group manager of motorsports and asset management for Toyota Motor North America (TMNA). “We want to thank NASCAR for their support of this project and we’re really looking forward to sharing more of these moments with the fans.”

The plan will be to continue broadcasting these events on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM ET on both Toyota Racing’s Facebook and Twitter channels.

This week, Toyota will highlight Christopher Bell’s first NASCAR win at Eldora Speedway in 2015. Bell is currently in his rookie season at the NASCAR Cup Series level after earning the 2017 NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series title and 16 career NASCAR Xfinity Series wins.

Although the schedule of events is subject to change, the Toyota Racing channels plan on airing the following events:

  • The 2008 Kobalt Tools 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway, which features Kyle Busch delivering Toyota their first Cup Series win.
  • The 2013 Toyota/SaveMart 350 from Sonoma Raceway, where Martin Truex Jr. ended a long winless streak and scored his first road course win.
  • The 2016 Daytona 500 from the Daytona International Speedway, which saw Denny Hamlin deliver Toyota their first Daytona 500 win.
  • The 2004 Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners 200 from Michigan International Speedway, where Travis Kvapil claimed Toyota’s first NASCAR national series win.
  • The 2013 Lucas Oil 150 from Phoenix Raceway, which saw then 17-year-old Erik Jones drive to victory in just his fifth career NASCAR start.
  • The 2011 NextEra Energy Solutions 250 from Daytona International Speedway, where Michael Waltrip drove to the win in what ended up being his final Gander Trucks start in a last lap pass.

Since joining the Gander Trucks in 2004, Toyota has earned 500 NASCAR national series wins – an achievement earned by NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Brandon Jones at the series’ most recent stop at Phoenix Raceway in March.

Ty Dillon and the NASCAR Cup Series two-stepped into virtual Texas Motor Speedway over the weekend for the second eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race.  After finishing 19th a week ago at virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway, Dillon and his No. 13 GEICO Camaro ZL1 1LE showed up on Sunday ready for 125-laps of racing in the Lone Star State.

The O'Reilly Auto Parts 125 aired live on FOX and FS1, while Dillon's wife, Haley, provided commentary on Ty's Instagram Live feed.  Mrs. Dillon even had giveaways during different segments of the race, where she offered up signed GEICO memorabilia for race fans in exchange for correct answers to GEICO and Ty Dillon related trivia questions.

The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series has offered race fans fun and unprecedented behind -the-scenes access, while giving drivers the opportunity to display their personalities and burning desire to compete, regardless of the platform.

Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead sang the National Anthem prior to Sunday's race, while NFL legend, Troy Aikman gave the command to fire engines.

Dillon and the No. 13 GEICO Camaro rolled off of the starting grid from the 24th position when the green flag flew on Sunday afternoon.  This week, drivers would only be provided a single damage repair reset, as opposed to a week ago at Homestead where they received two.  Dillon sustained damage early in the event, forcing him to use his one and only reset.

Not long after his reset, Clint Bowyer crashed and shot back up the racetrack, clipping the front of Dillon's No. 13 Germain Racing entry, causing slight damage.  Despite the setback, Dillon continued to collect positions and had the GEICO Camaro running in the third position by lap 43.

Things became interesting for Dillon late in the race when Daniel Suarez was forced by iRacing officials to park his car after intentionally making contact with the GEICO Camaro during a caution flag.  Suarez later blamed his dog, Emma, in a video he posted to his Twitter page.  Emma was unavailable for comment.

Dillon rallied, picking up positions as he carefully navigated the field.  When the checkered flag closed out a busy afternoon of racing, Dillon and the No. 13 GEICO Camaro ZL1 1LE crossed the finish line in the 16th position.  Dillon's result accounts for his second consecutive top-20 finish in the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series.

"We survived, that's for sure, and I'm super happy with a 16th-place finish for our GEICO Camaro," Dillon said.  "Today's race had lots of action, from hitting the wall, missing wrecks, intentionally being wrecked and everything in between.  Each driver was only given one damage vehicle repair this week and I used mine up way too early in the race.  After the car was fixed, I got more front-end damage when Clint (Bowyer) wrecked and came back up onto the track.  I was able to get a good finish and now look forward to Bristol!  It's my favorite track, so I'm excited."

The GEICO team and the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series will now visit the 'World's Fastest Half-Mile'.

Ty Dillon and the No. 13 GEICO Camaro ZL1 1LE will hit the track at virtual Bristol Motor Speedway for the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race on Sunday, April 5th.  The race will be televised live on FOX, FS1 and the FOX Sports App beginning at 1 PM (ET).

FOX Sports throws a little dirt into its eSports lineup this week, with the addition of World of Outlaws iRacing from the virtual Dirt Track at Charlotte on Wednesday, April 1 (8:00 PM ET) on FS1. The race marks the beginning of a weekly FS1 series of iRacing events across multiple disciplines and various virtual racetracks.

This week’s World of Outlaws iRacing event features stars from multiple series, including Brad Sweet (WoO), David Gravel (WoO), Bobby Pierce (DIRTcar Racing), Scott Bloomquist (WoO), Kyle Larson (NASCAR), Christopher Bell (NASCAR), Cruz Pedregon (NHRA) and Ron Capps (NHRA).

The one-hour program features a 35-lap World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race, followed by a 50-lap Morton Buildings Late Model battle.

“The iRacing simulation platform is undeniably the closest thing to real racing we can deliver to our viewers during this challenging time,” said Brad Zager, FOX Sports Executive Producer, EVP/Head of Production & Operations. “While the racing may be virtual, the competition and fun are absolutely real, and we’ll use Wednesday nights to explore a variety of virtual racing.”

For Wednesday’s first event, Adam Alexander hosts, with Johnny Gibson, “The Voice” of the World of Outlaws, calling the action. NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Jeff Gordon and NASCAR CUP SERIES driver Clint Bowyer, who owns a Dirt Late Model race team, provide commentary.

“Americans are resilient, dirt track fans more than most, but they are also a proud group,” said Ben Geisler, Chief Marketing Officer for the World of Outlaws. “I can’t wait to hear them talking about the sport they love this week, while FOX Sports places it on arguably the biggest stage in sports right now. Our drivers are a determined bunch, they have jumped through hoops to find sim gear and they are putting in 10-hour marathon practice sessions to get up to speed. They will put on a great show.”

FOX Sports also continues its coverage of the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series from virtual Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 5 (1:00 PM ET) on FOX*, FS1 and the FOX Sports app. Last Sunday’s event from virtual Texas Motor Speedway drew 1,339,000 viewers across FOX and FS1, a record for eSports on linear television for the second consecutive week.

Details:

• Event:  eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series (Round 4 of 20)

• Time/Date:  9 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 31 (TONIGHT)

• Location:  Virtual Bristol Motor Speedway (.533-mile oval)

• Distance:  250 laps (133.25 miles)

Where to Watch:

Overview:

• This is the first time in 2020 that the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series will compete on a short track. All of the series’ previous races have come at tracks 1.5 miles in length or longer.

• This is the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series’ fourth visit to the virtual Bristol Motor Speedway, but only its second since 2011.

• Last year’s eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series race at Bristol was run under the lights. This year’s edition is a daytime affair.

• Stewart-Haas eSports drivers Justin Bolton and Dylan Duval come into Bristol after each earned their season-best result in the series’ last race at the virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway. Duval finished 15th and Bolton was 17th.

• Duval finished 25th in last year’s race at Bristol, while Bolton makes his Bristol debut tonight.

Justin Bolton, driver of the No. 10 Get Busch Delivered! Ford Mustang:

“We’ve run well, but we don’t have the finishes to show for it. We were up toward the top-five at the end of the first run in our last two speedway races, but haven’t been able to get it done when it mattered. We’re going into Bristol optimistic that we can turn our season around. I’ll be driving the No. 10 Get Busch Delivered! Ford Mustang, and we’ve been spending a lot of time working on this setup. We feel confident that we’ll have something to compete with. And for those of you who are 21 or older, go to Busch.com/delivery and then enter your zip code to see what options are available in your area. From there, you can get Busch delivered right to your doorstep. While we’re racing, you can relax and unwind with an ice-cold Busch.”

Bolton is a 25-year-old engineer on Stewart-Haas Racing’s NASCAR Xfinity Series team who helped Cole Custer to a career-high seven victories in 2019. Bolton has raced in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series off and on since 2014, accumulating 49 starts with nine top-five finishes and a career-best points result of ninth in 2015. The Latrobe, Pennsylvania, native also has real-world racing experience, as Bolton has raced Legends cars and Late Model stock cars, winning the 2013 Fall Classic at Hickory (N.C.) Motor Speedway in the Limited Late Model division.

Dylan Duval, driver of the No. 41 PEAK Coolant & Antifreeze Ford Mustang:

“Coming into the season, Bristol is the track I had circled as being the one I was most concerned about. Last season at Bristol, I really struggled and wasn’t happy with how we performed. The racing at Bristol is so close quarters – having an ill-handling car can lead to a very long night of racing. We’ve turned a lot of laps and have explored many setup options to get our PEAK Coolant & Antifreeze Ford Mustang dialed in for tonight’s race. There are a lot of unknowns going into it. It’s our first race on the low-downforce package, and this race will be in the daytime as opposed to last year’s race, which was at night. We’ve done our homework, though, and I think we’re prepared. This season has started off pretty rough for us – having an issue on pit road at Daytona and struggling with dirty air and passing at California. Going into Homestead last week, we needed to start turning our season around and we did exactly that with running inside of the top-10 and, ultimately, finishing 15th. Coming into Bristol, I'm hoping to build off of what we did at Homestead and continue to make up some points.”

Duval is a 24-year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia. The graphic designer debuted in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series in 2012 and is the first Canadian iRacing winner in series history, taking the checkered flag at the virtual Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2016. Duval has made 76 starts in his seven-year career, scoring eight top-fives and earning a best points finish of fifth in 2016.

Hoosier Racing Tire faithfully serves DIRTcar racers across the country by providing durable, high-performance racing tires. Hoosier’s support for racers is especially unmatched in the Northeast United States, Ontario, and Quebec. They offer points fund support as well as tires for all DIRTcar-sanctioned tracks, series races, and the Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship.

The heart of dirt track racing beats at DIRTcar’s Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship, formerly Mr. DIRTcar, race tracks each week. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, 358 Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, and Pro Stocks race door-to-door for both track championship points and Hoosier Racing Tire points.

All DIRTcar-licensed drivers racing at a DIRTcar-sanctioned track have their top 16 finishes calculated towards the Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship points. The Championship starts on the first DIRTcar sanctioned event and concludes after Labor Day Weekend.

Over $37,000 is set up for the Hoosier Racing Tire points among the four divisions. Last year, Matt Sheppard collected $6,000 for being the high point man in the DIRTcar Big Blocks. The top 15 that earned points took home a cash prize at the DIRTcar Northeast Banquet.

Mat Williamson was the top 358 point-getter and he took home $3,000 with the top 10 receiving cash. In the DIRTcar Sportsman and Pro Stocks, it was Brad Rouse and Josh Coonradt earning $1,000 respectively with payouts going to the top 10, as well.

Last year, DIRTcar created the Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship newsletter to keep fans across the country up-to-date. The newsletter features every single winner in a DIRTcar Northeast sanctioned race during the previous week. All race fans, drivers, and teams need to do to get signed up is to head to DIRTcar.com and join the more than 40,000 that already do.

DIRTcar Northeast maintains four premier DIRTcar series each and every season. They are the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series, and the full-fender DIRTcar Pro Stock Series. One free tire is handed out at every single series race.

At Super DIRTcar Series races, the tire goes to whoever draws position 12 for the Feature in the Top 12 Redraw. Now, instead of a driver looking glum after picking 12, they hold up the pill and say, “Free tire!” In the other three series, the tire is awarded to a driver finishing in a predetermined, randomly chosen, finishing position.

Also on the DIRTcar website are the Hoosier Racing Tire Weekly Championship and Series points as well as a winners list, schedules, features and more. Points graphics are also being shared weekly on social media.
