Joey Gase & Nevada Donor Network to Honor Local Donor Heroes and Their Families In Pennzoil 400 Cup Series Race
This weekend, for the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, one car holds very special meaning. The images and/or names of 19 local organ donor heroes will adorn Joey Gase’s Nevada Donor Network car. In 2011, Gase’s mother, Mary, died of a brain aneurysm and helped save and heal the lives of 66 people as an organ, eye and tissue donor. Nevada Donor Network and Gase have partnered together since 2013 to promote the gift of life and health through donation by honoring local heroes and their courageous families each time he races at LVMS.
Below is the list of our incredible honorees.
- Kaylinn Marie Boling
- Richard Bryant Blue Jr.
- John Patrick Cronin
- Samuel Giovanni Lara
- Bruce Michael Munger
- Fred Frudden
- Douglas Truman Foremaster
- Chase Rauchle
- Clarence Joseph Sikkenga
- David Fernando Linares
- Brandon Reineck
- Donald Lee White
- Mary Jean White
- Thomas Randall McCurry
- Rick Alan Stelljes
- Garrett Richard Meriwether
- Kenani Kaimuloa
- David Michael Barrows III
- Emile Richard Alforque
Several Hand Prints of Hope with messages written by families of heroic donors will also be displayed on Gase’s vehicle, including:
Donor mom Jodi Boling’s tribute reads “One’s ending, is another’s beginning. Be an organ donor,” in honor of her daughter Kaylinn.
These special honoree tributes and messages of hope are intended to inspire Nevadans to say ‘YES’ to registering as an organ, eye and tissue donor. We all have the power to bring hope to the nearly 600 Nevadans and over 100,000 Americans in need of a lifesaving organ transplant.
“I am so thankful to Nevada Donor Network for teaming up with us this weekend so we can not only race, but, more importantly, raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation and honor all of these incredible heroes,” said Gase.

TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold announced today it will air the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle race at the DAYTONA Road Course live at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 13 exclusively on the streaming platform’s Progressive American Flat Track Pass. The event kicks off a doubleheader of motorcycle racing on TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold that is capped off by the Progressive American Flat Track Race at the Volusia Half-Mile at 7 p.m. ET.
Sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and operated by the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA), the 57-lap, 200-mile race showcases 600cc sportbikes at DAYTONA International Speedway’s famed 3.51-mile road course.
Four-time DAYTONA 200 champion Danny Eslick will attempt to become the third five-race winner in the history of the event, while Kyle Wyman will try to defend his 2019 victory. The 2020 race was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s event features a stacked field bolstered by international racers flocking to Daytona since several European contests have been cancelled due to COVID-19. Notably, 19-race Isle of Man TT winner Michael Dunlop of Ireland heads stateside to test his talents at The World Center of Racing.

It marks the second Progressive AFT race of 2021, following Friday’s season opener at the Volusia Half-Mile (also 7 p.m. ET).
Brian Baumann starts the season in the hunt for his third straight Progressive AFT Championship.

2019 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Champion Loris Hezemans will not only chase a second European title in 2021. The Dutchman will also return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving the #13 Hezeberg Systems Camaro for the Reaume Brothers Racing team.
The 23-year-old will race on the 1-mile Phoenix Raceway on March 13 and on the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 29, 2021. The Call 811 Before You Dig 200 presented by Arizona 811 at Phoenix will mark Hezemans’ oval racing debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series after the six-time NWES race winner finished 22nd at Road America in his first outing.
“I am very excited to announce that I will be joining Reaume Brothers Racing for the Nascar Xfinity Series at Phoenix on March 13th,” said Hezemans. “My number one priority for this race weekend is to bring the car home and gain as much experience as possible. Without any practice or qualifying the learning curve will be a big step but I am fully up for the challenge. With this experience in Phoenix I hope to continue to progress through the different size oval tracks throughout the year”.
While the Dutchman and his partners are at work to expand the American campaign, the clear goal for the first two races is to accumulate miles and experience to obtain NASCAR’s approval to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series in the future.
The Reaume Brothers Racing team made their entrance into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2018. In June 2020, they took over the operations of the RSS Racing No. 93 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and retained those duties for the remainder of the season. In 2021, the team competes in NASCAR with three of its own cars, two in the NCWTS and one in the NXS.
The Call 811 Before You Dig 200 presented by Arizona 811 at Phoenix Raceway will be run on Saturday, March 13. The green flag will wave at around 23:30 CET.

"Journey of the Fan" Experience Takes Guests through Safety Protocols Ahead of Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube Race Weekend
Before gates open to race fans for this weekend’s Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, officials welcomed a select group of fans to experience the new safety protocols that will be in place in response to the ongoing pandemic.
Las Vegas Motor Speedway President Chris Powell lead the “Journey of the Fan” event, which underscored efforts in place including the mandatory use of face coverings, health screenings, social distancing, frequent hand sanitization and protocols ranging from digital tickets to cashless purchases.
“We’re incredibly excited to allow race fans back to our tripleheader NASCAR race weekend and want to make sure we’re doing so as safely as possible,” Powell said. “We believe the plans we have put in place address all health and safety guidelines, and we look forward to fans coming out to the speedway to enjoy a fun weekend of NASCAR racing with friends and family.”
During the media walk-through, fans were taken through a simulated race-day check-in and souvenir purchase before being shown to their socially distanced seats. The Journey of the Fan also included a visit to a suite loge, which demonstrated Alsco’s Clean Shield disinfectant service, which is a proven way to effectively reduce the spread of viruses.
“We are very excited to be back at the speedway for all three races this weekend,” said Las Vegas resident Jodi Collins, who took part in the Journey of the Fan. “We will miss being in the Neon Garage and the pits and things like that but at least we’re back. I feel safe and know they’re sanitizing, checking everyone’s temperatures and have social distancing plus we’re outside, so I know that NASCAR and the speedway are prepared.”
This weekend’s Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube race weekend which kicks off with the Bucked Up 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday as well as the Alsco Uniforms 300 Xfinty Series race on Saturday will be the largest fan-attended sporting events in Nevada since the pandemic began. All three events are sold out.
