LifeShare Carolinas and Joey Gase Team up together to put on a Hand Prints of Hope Event in Honor of Sam Bass

On Saturday, May 25, LifeShare Carolinas will proudly sponsor Joey Gase as he drives the #35 LifeShare Carolinas car in the Alsco 300. The car will bear the name and photo of Sam Bass along with Hand Prints, Hearts, and Messages from Sam’s family and supporters. Bass was in need of a lifesaving kidney transplant, and sadly, did not get one in time and passed away this past February.

During the unveiling event, Sam’s family will be given the chance to place their handprints on the car in paint and write personal messages to him. The public is invited to the event as well to place their personal stamp in support of donation and Sam. They will also have the chance to meet Joey, learn about organ, eye, and tissue donation, view Sam’s artwork, and classic cars.

Sam’s wife, Denise, says, “I’m very appreciative to Joey Gase for honoring Sam’s memory in such a special way. Joey and I share a common bond related to organ donation; and we are fortunate to have his sponsor LifeShare Carolinas provide the platform for our efforts to raise awareness about this critical need of thousands suffering serious illness, possibly someone close to you. Sam would be very proud to know his legacy is being carried on to help others.”
