B.J. McLeod Finishes In 29th at Iowa Speedway

B.J. McLeod, driving the No. 15 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro, finished in 29th place in Sunday’s Iowa 250 presented by Enogen at Iowa Speedway.

McLeod started the race in the back due to a pre-race tire change, but he was able to gain ground quickly, racing his way into the top-25 and being recognized as one of the “biggest movers” on the broadcast. The No. 15 Chevy was running in 22nd place in the second stage of the race, but McLeod had to make an unscheduled pit stop for a tire going down.

“It was an honor to race for my long-time friend, Johnny Davis (JD Motorsports team owner),” said McLeod. “The No. 15 team have been great to work with, and they really gave me a great car to race. If not for the flat tire in stage two, we could have been in the top-20. I’m very thankful to everyone at JD Motorsports for the opportunity.”

The NASCAR Xfinity Series will take a one-week break before heading to Chicagoland Speedway for the Overton’s 300 on June 30th, 2018.
