Matt Mills Sidelined By Early Crash at ISM Raceway

Frequent rain showers made for a difficult NASCAR Xfinity Series race Saturday at ISM Raceway, especially for rookie driver, Matt Mills, who’s day ended early after contact with the wall on lap 84 of the DC Solar 200.

Mills, driving the No. 15 Flex Shot Chevrolet Camaro for team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller, blew a seal on the brake caliper, which sent him into the wall. Mills was scored in 38th place at the conclusion of the race.

“It was a tough day for sure, especially with ISM Raceway being one of my favorite tracks,” said Mills. “We had some other struggles with the car early in the race, but my No. 15 Flex Shot crew really worked hard to keep me in the race. It’s disappointing that we didn’t get to finish, but there’s always going to be days like this in racing. We’ll take what we’ve learned this weekend and move on to California.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Service King 300 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, C.A., on March 17th, 2018.
