Joe Nemechek, 1992 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion, will compete in the PowerShares QQQ 300 at the Daytona International Speedway driving the No. 15 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro.
“Front Row” Joe Nemechek has raced at Daytona International Speedway 34 times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, scoring two wins, seven top-ten finishes, and five pole awards.
“I’m looking forward to getting back to Daytona in a NASCAR Xfinity Series racecar,” said Nemechek. “I ran with JD Motorsports a couple times last year, and we are looking to improve on that. Daytona has been a special place for me with poles, wins, top fives, and top tens. I’m very confident that JDM is bringing a car that will get me right to the front. They are a lot like my truck team, a small group of guys on a very limited budget. It’s going to be a good Speedweeks.”
The NASCAR Xfinity Series with take over the track for the first time in 2018 on Friday, February 16 with practice scheduled for 12:05 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will start at 9:35 a.m. on Saturday, February 17 and the PowerShares QQQ 300 will get the green flag at 2:30 p.m. (ET) on FS1.
