GMS Racing Names Randy Usher as Team’s General Manager

GMS Racing announced today that Randy Usher will join the team as General Manager. Usher has many years of experience in the NASCAR industry, including his most recent position as General Manager at Red Horse Racing (RHR) up until the team’s closure in 2017.

“I am honored to take on the role as General Manager at GMS Racing,” said Usher. “Mike Beam has done a remarkable job building this team to what it is today. Getting the opportunity to help them grow and succeed even more is going to be a great undertaking and I look forward to it greatly.”

With a resume spanning four decades in the NASCAR industry, Usher first entered the sport as a pit crew member for multiple teams. Usher worked alongside many notable crew chiefs and drivers in his career while he worked his way through the ranks. Before starting his journey at RHR he worked at NEMCO from 1999 to 2013, first as a tire carrier until ultimately working his way up to become Team Manager.

“We are very excited to add Randy to our team,” said Mike Beam, President of GMS Racing. “Randy has a lot of knowledge and experience in this sport. With managing four truck teams and a Xfinity team I needed to bring on someone that I could trust and would be great asset for the team. We are lucky to have brought on such a great guy to keep every day operations flowing smoothly.”
