Rhodes Finishes 22nd at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Bad weather made for a long day and night at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Xfinity Series, but Harrison Rhodes and the No. 01 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team prevailed with a 22nd place finish and strong run in the Drive for the Cure 300.

With qualifying cancelled because of the persistent rain and mist, the field was set by the NASCAR Xfinity Series rule book, and Rhodes started in 30th. The race was scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m. (ET), but the weather pushed the start of the race past 8:30 p.m.

“This is the best I’ve ever ran at Charlotte,” Rhodes said. “We keep working on our racecars week in and week out for these mile-and-a-half tracks, and our progress is starting to show. We ran with good cars during the race tonight, and I’m proud of our effort here.”

The Xfinity Series will take a week off before heading to Kansas Speedway for the Kansas Lottery 300 on October 21st.
