NASCAR XFINITY Series Qualifying – Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina

Qualifying for the NASCAR XFINITY Series Drive for the Cure 300 presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina at Charlotte Motor Speedway was cancelled due to weather. The field will be set by owner points and according to the rule book.

Leading the field to green will be Daniel Suarez in the No. 18 JGR Toyota Camry. The team currently leads the owners point standings. Ryan Blaney, driving the No. 22 for Team Penske, will start second. The rest of the top 10 starting position belong to Erik Jones, Alex Bowman, Justin Allgaier, William Byron, Elliott Sadler, Daniel Hemric, Brennan Poole and Ty Dillon. Dexter Bean, in the No. 92, was the only driver that failed to make the race.

In final practice, Sam Hornish, Jr. (182.420 mph) and Ryan Blaney (181.647 mph), both driving for Team Penske, paced the field. Matt Tifft, in a JGR Toyota Camry, had the third fastest time. The rest of the top ten, fastest single lap drivers in final practice were Daniel Suarez, Erik Jones, William Byron, Alex Bowman, Daniel Hemric, Austin Dillon and Corey LaJoie.

Daniel Suarez had the fastest 10-lap average speed of all of this week’s competitors. The No. 18 had an average speed of 178.289 mph. The next nine drivers with the fastest 10-lap average in final practice were Austin Dillon, Ryan Blaney, Cole Custer, Spencer Gallagher, Alex Bowman, Brennan Poole, Brandon Jones, Chad Finchum and Angela Ruch.
