20 year-old Vinnie Miller will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway driving the No. 0 Chevrolet Camaro for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller in Saturday’s Chicagoland 300.
Vinnie Miller started racing at five years old on the quarter midget tracks in Michigan and has been working his way toward a NASCAR career every since.
Having found success in Super Late Models, the Pro All Stars Series, Speed Weeks at New Smyrna Beach Speedway, CARS Tour and 602 Tour events, Miller began competing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and ARCA Racing Series earlier this year. So far in the 2017 Season, he has posted one top-five, six top-ten finishes and led six laps in just 10 races.
“It is a dream come true to be able to race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series,” said Miller. “The opportunity to drive for JD Motorsports this weekend is something I never thought I would achieve when I started racing. I know Chicagoland is a challenging track and I have a lot to learn this weekend, but I plan on listening and learning as much as I can from my JDM teammates and crew chief this weekend. Chicagoland Speedway practice is scheduled for 1:00p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (CT) Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:35 a.m. Saturday. The Chicagoland 300 will get the green flag at 2:46 p.m. (3:46 p.m. ET) on NBCSN.
