Superior Essex Brings Hometown Pride to the Rinnai 250 Race

On Saturday, March 4th, Superior Essex, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of communications cabling solutions, sponsored the No. 14 TriStar Motorsports Toyota for the Xfinity Series Rinnai 250 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The No. 14 Toyota was driven by J.J. Yeley, who delivered a steadfast performance despite facing engine troubles late in the race, completing 128 laps and finishing in the 36th position.

Superior Essex previously sponsored the No. 14 Toyota in the Powershares QQQ 300 race at Daytona International Speedway on February 25th, where the car finished in the 25th position. In each race, the car was co-sponsored by the company’s connectivity partner, Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.

Preceding the race, Superior Essex hosted the No. 14 car and its driver, J.J. Yeley, at its corporate offices in Atlanta. Employees, customers and local NASCAR fans turned out to see the No. 14 car up close, as well as meet and take pictures with Yeley.

“As an Atlanta-based company, we were proud to see our No. 14 Toyota racing at the Atlanta Motor Speedway,” says Ken Braziel, Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Superior Essex. “J.J. and the TriStar Motorsports team did a great job on Saturday, and we are already looking forward to our next race together.”

As a part of its Speed eXPerience initiative, Superior Essex is working with NASCAR and its sponsors to generate business relationships that aim to create a new demand for its products throughout the NASCAR industry. More than thirty customers and VIPs also attended these Superior Essex-sponsored events in Kansas and in Texas, allowing the cable manufacturer and its co-sponsors to strengthen business relationships with new and existing customers.
