No. 19 Starkey/SoundGear Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:
- SAWALICH AT PHOENIX: William Sawalich has seen success at Phoenix Raceway in his young career. He has two ARCA Menards Series West wins at the track, winning the 2023 fall race and the 2024 spring race. This will be his first race at the track in an Xfinity Series Toyota GR Supra.
- TRIPLE-DUTY: Sawalich will run triple-duty at Phoenix this weekend. On Friday, he’ll compete in the ARCA Menards Series race for Joe Gibbs Racing in the No. 18 Toyota Camry and then he will climb behind the wheel of the No. 1 Toyota Tundra for TRICON Garage in the Truck Series race that night.
- FULLTIME IN 2025: Sawalich will compete full-time in the Xfinity Series next year driving the No. 18 Toyota GR Supra.
- ARCA EAST CHAMPION: Sawalich claimed his second-consecutive ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) championship at Bristol Motor Speedway last month. Sawalich has won seven AMSE races in the past two years with 15 top-five finishes. In 2023, he became the first Minnesotan to win the series championship.
- JGR AT MARTINSVILLE: Joe Gibbs Racing owns 17 Xfinity Series victories at Phoenix Raceway, including Chandler Smith’s win earlier this year. In 120 combined starts at the track, the organization has tallied 52 top-five finishes, 83 top-10s, 21 pole awards, and 3,534 laps led. Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, Ty Gibbs, Daniel Hemric, Brandon Jones, Joey Logano, Chandler Smith, and Sammy Smith have all driven JGR Toyotas to Xfinity Series victory lane at Phoenix. Overall, JGR cars have won four of the past six Phoenix races with four different drivers.
