No. 18 Friends of Jaclyn Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:
- CREED AT HOMESTEAD: Sheldon Creed has made two NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway which is highlighted by a 17th place finish which came in 2022. In last year’s race, Creed was running 12th with three laps to go, but unfortunately hit the wall and ended up finishing 26th. In total, Creed has an average start of 8.0, an average finish of 21.5, and four laps led at NASCAR’s southernmost track.
- LAS VEGAS RECAP: Creed started from 38th in Las Vegas after losing a motor in practice, thus leaving him unable to record a qualifying lap. Creed wasted no time working his way through the field and earned himself a fifth-place finish by the end of the first stage. Creed faded back to 14th at the end of stage two and hovered around the top-10 for the remainder of the race before coming home with a ninth-place finish to extend his series-leading top-10 total to 20.
- TOP FIVE LEADER: Sheldon Creed is tied with teammate Chandler Smith for the most top-five finishes in the Xfinity Series with 15. At 15 top-fives, the JGR teammates hold an impressive 50% top-five rate on the season.
- TOP TEN LEADER: Creed remains in a tie with Cole Custer and Chandler Smith for the most top-10s on the year. The three drivers sit atop the season totals with 20 top-10 finishes each.
- STUCK ON SILVER: Creed’s second-place finish at Bristol marked his 13th career second-place finish in the Xfinity Series. With his sixth second-place finish of the year, Creed has now overtaken James Hylton for the all-time record across all three series for second-place finishes without a win. Remarkably, 50% (13/26) of his career top-fives have been second-place results.

Sheldon Creed, Driver of the No. 18 Friends of Jaclyn Toyota GR Supra:
“You’ve mentioned Homestead as one of your favorite tracks on the schedule, but strong runs have evaded you in the past. What’s the outlook for you going into this weekend?
“Yeah I’ve had some bad luck there the past couple years but I still really enjoy Homestead. It’s a fun track and it suits my strengths quite well. I think I’m due for some better luck there so hopefully we can have things go our way this weekend.”
