AJ Allmendinger won Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With his win, Allmendinger is now locked into the Championship 4 at Phoenix next month.
“Let’s go win a championship,” Allmendinger said over the radio after winning Saturday’s Xfinity series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Allmendinger will chase his first ever shot at a championship in the Xfinity series.
Allmendinger became the 17th different winner this season in the Xfinity series.
Entering the Round of 8, Allmendinger was seventh in points standings and 18 points below the cutoff line.
Rounding out the top five were Ryan Sieg in second, Justin Allgaier in third, Chandler Smith in fourth and Parker Kligerman in fifth.
Ryan Sieg, who finished second is still searching for his first Xfinity series win after 364 career starts.
Drivers above the cutline after Las Vegas are Justin Allgaier (+32), Cole Custer (+ 16) and Chandler Smith (+8).
Drivers leaving Las Vegas below the cutline are Austin Hill (-8), Jesse Love (-13), Sam Mayer (-23) and Sammy Smith (-53).
The NASCAR Xfinity series heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway Saturday, October 26th at 4 p.m. Eastern on the CW Network.
