No. 19 Operation 300 Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:
- GRAY AT KANSAS: Gray has four previous starts at Kansas Speedway – three in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) with one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes and one in the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) that resulted in a third-place finish. The 19-year-old will be running double-duty this weekend, climbing behind the wheel of his No. 17 Toyota Tundra for TRICON Garage on Friday night before the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) race on Saturday.
- TRUCK SERIES PLAYOFFS: Gray is currently competing in the NCTS Playoffs, which will continue this weekend at Kansas. After this weekend, the playoffs field will go from 10 drivers to eight. Gray is currently seventh in the playoffs standings, 23 points above the cutline.
- TYLER ALLEN: As Joe Gibbs Racing continues to evaluate its overall Xfinity Series program, Gray will work with crew chief Tyler Allen this weekend in Kansas. Allen, who typically oversees the No. 20 team, has led his drivers to seven victories this season, including back-to-back wins with Ryan Truex at Daytona and Christopher Bell at Darlington. Gray and Allen have worked together in two races this year – Pocono in July where they qualified fourth and finished fifth despite having to start from the rear of the field and Atlanta earlier this month where they had a second-place qualifying effort before getting damage in an on-track incident that ultimately ended their race with a mechanical issue.

William Sawalich is also slated to run races later this year.

From the Driver’s Seat:
Taylor Gray: “Kansas is a track that I feel pretty comfortable at and I’ve had good finishes in the races I’ve run there. I think the racing could be aggressive being the first race of the playoffs, but, ultimately, I’m out there to get the best finish for my team & JGR.”
