Parker Kligerman Announces Retirement from Full-Time Racing

Parker Kligerman, the seasoned driver known for his grit and determination, announced today that he will step away from full-time racing after the 2024 season. The decision marks the end of an era for Kligerman, who has left an indelible mark on the track.

Kligerman’s tenure with Big Machine Racing (BMR) is nearing its final lap. On a Thursday morning, in a heartfelt statement, he confirmed that he will not pilot the No. 48 car for BMR in the NASCAR Xfinity Series come 2025.

And carve he did. Kligerman’s second full-time season with BMR resulted in three hard-fought second-place finishes. The No. 48 Xfinity car, adorned with sponsor logos and the hopes of a team, carried him through battles, near misses, and adrenaline-soaked moments.

But Kligerman’s retirement isn’t a farewell to racing altogether. The 34-year-old driver, whose journey began in NASCAR back in 2009, will pivot toward new horizons. His podcast, aptly named “The Money Lap,” has become a platform for candid conversations about the sport he loves. And beyond the mic, Kligerman’s role with NBC Sports hints at exciting possibilities. With the new NASCAR broadcasting deal involving FOX Sports, NBC Sports, Prime, and TNT, Kligerman could find himself in a bigger role behind the camera.
