“Darlington is awesome,” says Parker. “We ran great there in the Spring. We were a top 3 car, just had an unfortunate pit stop that put us way behind in stage three that we had to fight back from and finish 6th. It was a really strong day- one of the best cars I’ve ever had at Big Machine Racing that day. I think our whole team has worked really hard to bring back that same race car in a lot of respects. I’m sure we will have to make some tweaks for the weather being different. I worked really hard over the last year and a half on getting better there. Darlington’s awesome. There’s nothing cooler than being 30 laps into a run and blowing by cars because you saved the right rear tires or you found a faster line. It’s just a fun place. Its one of my favorite tracks. If we can just do what we do, we’re in a great points position. It’s given us the opportunity to be aggressive. We’ve got to be smart. If we can get a bunch of stage points it gives us a chance to be more agressive going into these last races before the playoffs. I’m looking forward to it. I can’t wait!”
