Koch secures multi-year partnership with Daystar for NASCAR Career

NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year contender Blake Koch is proud to announce that the Daystar Television Network and Blake Koch Incorporated have signed a new long-term, multi-year agreement to continue their relationship well beyond the 2011 season. This newly formed partnership will secure support for Koch’s racing career for multiple seasons in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

“Daystar’s commitment to Blake Koch Inc. means so much to me. We both have the same goal in mind – to impact the world with the love and word of Jesus Christ,” said Koch. “We both understand that on track performance gives us a bigger platform to reach our goal and we are going to do whatever it takes to reach that goal.”

A native of West Palm Beach, Florida who now is relocating to North Carolina, Blake Koch began his racing career in motocross as a teenager. After continued injuries led him to seek a safer form of competition, he began racing late model stock cars and speedway trucks at various venues on the East Coast. In 2008 he made his debut in the NASCAR West series. Shortly thereafter he developed a relationship with the Daystar Television Network, who became a title sponsor of the up and coming driver that showed great promise, despite very little experience in the sport.

“Daystar has been a big supporter of my racing career since its start and I am very grateful for them,” added Koch. “Now they will be here to support me for many years to come and I’m very excited about this new partnership.”

The Daystar Television Network is an Emmy award winning faith based network that is dedicated to spreading the Gospel 24 hours a day, seven days a week all around the globe through all media formats possible. Daystar is the fastest growing, and one of the two largest, faith based networks in the world today and can be viewed on all major and secondary satellite and cable systems. Daystar programming reaches over 200 countries into more than 91 million homes in the United States and 680 million homes globally.

In the world of NASCAR, faith based sponsorships have been far and few in past years. However, since Koch came onto the circuit, it has become common for race fans and fellow teams alike to welcome, with strong support and attendance, the many outreach events that both Koch and Daystar promote as they travel the nation before one of the sporting world’s largest audiences.

“It’s been so great working with a driver as humble as Blake Koch. He’s not only talented on the track, but also a great representative of the Daystar brand”, explains Rachel Lamb, Daystar’s Director of Media and Communications. “While unconventional to many, Daystar believes and very much sees the vision of this unique ministry platform, and is honored to partner and support Blake in the making of his racing career.”

Blake Koch and the Daystar #81 Dodge are amidst a heated battle for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Rookie of the Year title. This accolade is as closely followed as the annual season championship. Koch is currently second in the Rookie standings to leader Timmy Hill.
