Harvick joins forces with Nexersys to ramp up his training program

Kevin Harvick, known as one of the most physically-fit NASCAR drivers, will take his training program to the next level with Nexersys.

Harvick has signed a personal service agreement with Nexersys, a professional-grade, multimedia fitness product that delivers the motivation of a personal trainer, the benefits of an interval training workout, and the entertainment and feedback available from today’s gaming and computer technology in one piece of equipment.

The fitness-conscious Harvick already had been working out two or three times per week to afford himself every advantage behind the wheel of his race car, but says he has newfound motivation and interest in exercise with this new partnership.

“I’ve been looking for something to ramp up my cardiovascular endurance and strength while also fighting boredom,” Harvick said. “With the feedback and interaction Nexersys gives me, I no longer have to wonder if I’m doing an exercise correctly or if I’m pushing myself hard enough. Staying at peak performance in a hot race car for three or four hours is a big challenge, but Nexersys gives me every resource to be at the top of my game. Show me a driver who isn’t physically fit and I’ll show you a driver who can’t consistently challenge for the win.”

The company sees Harvick’s athleticism and competitive fire as a perfect complement to its product.

“Kevin Harvick is known in the NASCAR world as a fierce competitor with relentless determination,” said Jim Warren, Chief Marketing Officer, Nexersys. “Nexersys, known for delivering Best in Class fitness, also shares many of the same values found within the Harvick and NASCAR brands – particularly in our commitments to passion, openness and excellence. This combination makes Harvick a solid match with Nexersys as a brand ambassador – both with our fitness products and company culture.”

Furthermore, Nexersys embodies one of the fundamental missions of the Kevin Harvick Foundation — enriching the lives of children across the country — in this case through its battle against childhood obesity.

“With childhood obesity becoming an epidemic in the U.S., part of our mission at Nexersys is to do everything we can to reverse this trend,” said Terry G. Jones, Chairman and CEO, Nexersys. “We are excited to partner with the Kevin Harvick Foundation and support their commitment to enrich the lives of children.”
