The 2012 season at Richmond International Racewaymarks the third year of RIRUPDATES, an informative texting service to keep fans informed on race weekend. Fans are encouraged to sign up for race weekend updates by texting “RIRUPDATES” to 69050, enabling them to receive information via SMS text messages on their Sprint device or other mobile carrier. After texting “RIRUPDATES” to 69050, fans will receive a standard reply message confirming they are signed up for the service. Standard text message fees from service providers apply.
Now is a great time to sign up for the updates as we’re just a month away from the NASCAR doubleheader weekend at Richmond International Raceway, featuring the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event, which is “One Last Race to Make The Chase,” and the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
