Fans with tickets to any NASCAR event at BMS can take their own vehicles for track laps Aug 11

Jealousy may soon hit the drivers in the NASCAR garage area. On Saturday, Aug. 11, race fans with tickets to any BMS racing event during IRWIN Tools Night Race Week will be allowed to drive their own vehicle around the revamped concrete surface, an advantage any NASCAR driver surely would enjoy.

Those with tickets to the IRWIN Tools Night Race, the Food City 250 or the UNOH Perfect Storm Doubleheader can come to BMS from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Aug. 11 for an open house to showcase the Bristol high banks. After showing their tickets, fans will line up behind the Official BMS Pace Car for laps around the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile.”

In addition to track laps, Camping World Truck Series competitor Ty Dillon will be on hand from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to provide ride-along laps to several lucky fans in a street truck. Fans can register for the opportunity to ride with Dillon, who also will sign autographs at the event. This is the perfect chance for fans to experience the exhilaration of rocketing around BMS. Several prizes will be up for grabs during the event as well.

Those without tickets should not fret, however, as they will be available to purchase on site. The day also is the perfect opportunity for fans to take advantage of special locals’ ticket pricing for the UNOH Perfect Storm Doubleheader, which features the Camping World Truck Series UNOH 200 and the Whelen Modified UNOH Perfect Storm 150.

Race fans who live in the immediate areas surrounding the track can purchase UNOH Doubleheader tickets for just $20. Residents of Sullivan, Washington, Carter, Johnson, Greene and Unicoi Counties in Tennessee and Washington, Scott, Lee, Smyth, Grayson, Russell and Wise Counties in Virginia are eligible for local pricing. Fans should have their driver’s license with them to verify their residency.
