Daytona to welcome back limited fans for 2021 Daytona 500

With COVID restrictions still in place and allowing about 10,000 fans to come to the summer race in 2020 the Daytona 500 this year will bump of fan attendance to about double that of last summer seeing around 25,000 or so fans in attendance for a stadium that holds just over 100,000.

“The Daytona 500 is one of the greatest spectacles in all of sports, and fans from all over the world converge in Daytona Beach to be a part of motorsport’s biggest day,” said Chip Wile

Just a year ago Denny Hamlin took home the victory with Ryan Newman finishing with destroyed car and a trip to the hospital.

While less will be in attendance this year it will be no less spectacular providing the rain that will be moving into the area will hold off and allow the race to go on as scheduled.
