With $25 tickets for the Goody’s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway depleted and $35 tickets quickly disappearing, race fans are taking advantage of affordable pricing for the most exciting short-track racing in NASCAR.
Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said today that the several thousand $25 tickets offered by the track had been purchased and the $35 and $40 seats are dwindling.
“What we have been offering fans the past two or three years are not one-race discounted tickets. When the economy got so difficult for everyone, we restructured our price points. We think we have ticket prices that can fit most anyone’s budget,” said Campbell.
“We’ve made a lot of changes here at Martinsville Speedway in the last 65 years, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the shape of our race track and the kind of racing it produces,” said Campbell. “Our fans know they can expect plenty of beating and banging along with plenty of side-by-side racing. I think Denny Hamlin charging from deep in the top 10 to a victory in the last three or four laps last spring proves that.”
