Emily Hudgens Joins Speedway Children’s Charities as Charlotte Chapter Director

Greenville, S.C., native Emily Hudgens has been named director of
the Charlotte Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.

As director of the Charlotte Chapter, Hudgens will lead
fundraising and marketing efforts in order to raise awareness of the
organization and increase the amount of funds benefiting Charlotte-area
children in financial, educational, social and medical need.

"We are thrilled to welcome Emily into the Speedway Children's
Charities family," said Tish Sheets, national managing director of
Speedway Children's Charities. "We look forward to working with her to
take the Charlotte Chapter to new levels of success in helping the
children of the Charlotte region."

Hudgens, who is a graduate of Winthrop University, has lived in
Charlotte, N.C., for more than five years and previously worked as
creative director at The Ghazi Company, overseeing all marketing,
advertising, events and public relations for multiple Charlotte-area
venues including the Epicentre in Uptown.

"I am truly overjoyed to be working with Speedway Children's

Charities, whose work over the years has helped to change the lives of
children in the community," said Hudgens. "I am honored to take on the
challenge of growing this organization and meeting new goals. I look
forward to an exciting and prosperous year with new events and community
involvement!"

Helping the Charlotte community has been a big part of Hudgens'
life. She is a volunteer with the Levine Children's Hospital and is a
member of the Junior League of Charlotte which is a group of women who
strive to improve the community.

Headquartered at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Charlotte Chapter
of Speedway Children's Charities hosts a wide range of events and
promotions in the Charlotte community and is supported by teams of
volunteers. Last year 92 non-profits in the Charlotte area benefited
from the more than $725,000 raised by the organization.
