Illinois Treasurer’s I-Cash Program to Sponsor Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Pole Qualifying

Chicagoland Speedway announced today that the Illinois Treasurer’s I-Cash program will return as the sponsor for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series pole qualifying on Saturday, June 29. Drivers will battle to start on the front row in the Camping World 400 which will take place on Sunday, June 30. The I-Cash Pole qualifying features a single-car single-round format to determine the pole sitter.

In Illinois, the state treasurer is the custodian of unclaimed property, including lost bank accounts, insurance policy proceeds, and forgotten safe deposit boxes. As a result, the Treasurer’s Office is currently safeguarding 3 billion dollars of unclaimed money, 75 million shares of stock, and the contents of thousands of safe deposit boxes.

“This race is always exciting. We enjoy partnering with Chicagoland Speedway for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and sharing with fans how to claim their unclaimed property,” said Illinois Treasurer Michael Frerichs. “We hope to give race fans even more reason to celebrate. It just takes two minutes to visit our website at IllinoisTreasurer.gov/ICASH to discover if you have property to claim.”

“I-Cash Pole Qualifying is becoming a tradition and staple at the Magnificent Mile and a Half,” said Scott Paddock, President of Chicagoland Speedway. “We’re looking forward to once again giving the Illinois Treasurer’s I-Cash program the platform it deserves, as it provides a terrific service to the residents of Illinois.”

Here’s how Illinois residents can discover if they have assets waiting for them:

  1. Visit IllinoisTreasurer.gov/ICASH. Then, enter your name and city in the search fields to find out if you have property to claim.
  2. Identify your properties and provide your contact information online.
  3. Within minutes, I-Cash will email you a claim form to sign and mail along with proof of ownership to claim your assets.
