Charlotte Motor Speedway Takes Newman, Petty, PRN to Fort Bragg

Officials from Charlotte Motor Speedway and Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 U.S. Army Chevrolet,
visited the U.S. military base at Fort Bragg, N.C., Monday to present a
ceremonial Coca-Cola 600 race ticket to John Falkenbury, president of
the United Service Organizations of North Carolina.

The presentation was in honor of the return of the Let the
Troops Race program, allowing fans and companies to show their gratitude
to the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces by purchasing
value-priced tickets for troops to attend the Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial
Day Weekend.

"It's an honor to represent the soldiers and to wear their
colors," said Newman, "I'm not a soldier, but I do my best to represent
them in the race car and out and do what we can to get them to Victory
Lane. This is a great opportunity to visit troops here on the base on
behalf of the speedway and the Coca-Cola 600."

Charlotte Motor Speedway also helped produce the first-ever
broadcast on a U.S. military base of the Performance Racing Network's
popular show, "Fast Talk." The show was recorded in front of a live
audience of more than 100 service members and their families and
co-hosted by PRN's Doug Rice and Kyle Petty, winner of the 1987
Coca-Cola 600. Guests on the show included Falkenbury, Newman and Col.
Stephen Sicinski, garrison commander at Ft. Bragg.

During the Let the Troops Race program, fans who purchase
tickets to the May 29 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway via
phone at 1-800-455-FANS (3267), online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com
or in the speedway ticket office can purchase an additional ticket for
just $20 to send a member of the U.S. Armed Forces to NASCAR's most
challenging race.

For their donation, fans will receive recognition on the
Charlotte Motor Speedway website, in the Coca-Cola 600 souvenir program
for orders received before April 15 and on the world's largest
high-definition video board that will play at the speedway during
Coca-Cola 600 Race Weekend.

Companies can also participate by purchasing a block of tickets
for troops and their families with a 100-ticket minimum purchase at the
$20 per ticket price by calling (704) 455-3203. For their donation,
companies will receive the same recognition as fans, plus inclusion in a
30-second Let the Troops Race promotional spot on the HD video board.

Tickets will be distributed through the United Service

Organizations to active servicemen and women.
Charlotte Motor Speedway is donating 1,000 seats to soldiers from Fort
Bragg. Hundreds of soldiers from Fort Bragg are expected to participate
in the Coca-Cola 600 pre-race show with a military demonstration and
march down the frontstretch.

"The Let the Troops Race ticket program gives our fans the
opportunity to honor the men and women in the U.S. military on the most
patriotic weekend of the year," said Marcus Smith, president and general
manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. "Last year more than 3,500 members
of the U.S. Armed Forces attended the Coca-Cola 600 through this
program. This year we'd like for companies and fans to help us double
that number so as many American troops as possible can make lifetime
memories with us on Memorial Day Weekend."
