Today’s St. Louis Nostalgia Rendezvous drag racing at World Wide Technology rained out, cancelled

The remaining nostalgia drag racing portion of the St. Louis 2019 Nostalgia Rendezvous (@STLRendezvous) at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois, has been cancelled due to cold and wet conditions.  The forecast for today does not look promising and temperatures are not going to reach a point where we can safely complete the event.

The Nostalgia Drag Racing League and Victory Nostalgia Super Stock portion of the event have been cancelled and will be considered complete. There is no reschedule date. Racers entered in the Nostalgia Pro and Nostalgia Sportsman classes will be mailed a credit good to another 2019 World Wide Technology Raceway event. This credit will be mailed to the address on the racer’s tech card next week. This credit will be good for any WWTR events but will not be valid for any track rentals (i.e. NMRA Gateway Rumble).

Jack Phillips’ 1937 Plymouth won Best in Show at Saturday’s car show. Billie Rockitt won Saturday’s pin-up girl contest.

The management and staff of WWTR would like to thank the racers and fans for their efforts and support over the wet weekend. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate.
