Grandview Speedway Point Standings and Coming Events For Next Two Saturdays

Craig Von Dohren has won ten NASCAR titles at Grandview and is now in first spot in the current T.P.Trailers Modified point standings while in the Sportsman division Brad Grim, without a title to his credit sits in the number one spot.

The battle for the number one position in the standings is close in both divisions. Von Dohren, a winner this past Saturday, has two wins to his credit and 1070 counters to top the Modifieds. Rick Laubach has 1014 points and veteran Frank Cozze sits with 903 tallies.

Brad Grim, without benefit of a win, has 864 points followed by Mark Kemmerer just three points behind with 861. Brad Brightbill, with two wins to his credit, is third with 848 points.

Eighty three drivers have earned points in the two divisions after four point earning events run so far this season.

All these drivers will be back in action this Saturday, May 11 in a doubleheader show featuring the T.P.Trailers Modifieds and T.P.Truck Equipment Sportsman that starts at 7:30 p.m.

The first 50 Moms purchasing a ticket will receive a gift courtesy of the speedway and the oldest and youngest mom will receive a free pass for a future race event as part of the Mother’s Day celebration.

Fans are invited to arrive early and visit with Modified racer Justin Grim and Sportsman talent Brad Grim as they participate in the weekly Meet and Greet Session presented by the Low Down & Dirty Internet Radio Show. Their race cars will also be on display starting at 5 p.m.

Racing gets the green at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $15 with youngsters under 12 admitted free. Pit admission is $30 with NASCAR license.

Coming to town on Saturday, May 18th will be the first appearance of the Rapid Tire United States Auto Club (USAC) Eastern Wingless Sprints. This will be a tripleheader show with the NASCAR Modifieds and Sportsman.

It is also expected that as part of the partnership between the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing there will be a vintage race car on display.

Admission for this special night of racing will be $20 for adults, $5 for youngsters 6 through 11 and free for those under 6.
