G-Force Karts has partnered with Richmond Raceway (Richmond) to build a high speed outdoor karting track at the Richmond Raceway Complex. G-Force Karts will move its operations to the Richmond grounds prior to the Toyota Spring Race Weekend on April 12-13. The official name of the business will now be G-Force Karts at Richmond Raceway.
“We are always looking for ways to grow the fan experience at the Richmond Raceway Complex, so by welcoming G-Force Karts we are taking the next step in that evolution to offer the community race experiences throughout the year,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “Jason Yarema and his team have built a thriving business near the track, so we look forward to partnering to bring a new kart track to the Richmond Raceway Complex.”

We can’t wait to deliver this crazy intense racing experience.”
Yarema opened G-Force Karts with an indoor (gas powered) karting track as the only attraction at their current location on Carolina Avenue near America’s Premier Short Track in August 2002. Over the years, G-Force Karts has added new activities, including laser tag and an inflatable bounce house in 2008, indoor paintball and archery tag in 2013, and NERF, bazooka ball, virtual reality, and an arcade in 2017.
Last fall, Richmond and G-Force Karts discussed the opportunity to build a faster, bigger, and more intense outdoor racing experience at the Richmond Raceway Complex. The result is a new outdoor track, named High Speed, that will be twice as large, 2,400 linear square feet, as the current indoor track.
At its current location, karts are rated at 45 miles per hour, but they will be rated up to 60 miles per hour at the Richmond Raceway Complex. The new G-Force Karts at Richmond Raceway is scheduled to open on Friday, April 12 in time for the Toyota Spring Race Weekend.
The Richmond Raceway Complex hosts over 200 live events per year, including concerts with top national recording artists at Virginia Credit Union LIVE! at Richmond Raceway. Through the partnership with G-Force Karts, the Richmond Raceway Complex will further diversify experiences on property year-round.
