Martinsville Speedway To Bring Back Free FanFest on Saturday Night

Martinsville Speedway will bring back the popular FanFest on the Saturday night of the STP 500 weekend presented by whosyourdriver.org.

The free event will take place in the Drivers’ Meeting Tent, located outside Turn 4, after Virginia Lottery Pole Qualifying and will feature some of the biggest stars in NASCAR in a relaxed, fun and interactive setting.

“FanFest is one of the things we look forward to each race weekend,” Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “To be able to give guests the chance to see some of their favorite drivers in an up close and fun way, and for free, is one of the ways we are able to do that.”

This year’s FanFest will include Clint Bowyer, Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Preece, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Bubba Wallace and Paul Menard.

In addition to the drivers, there will be music and prizes.

FanFest is slated to being at the conclusion of Virginia Lottery Pole Qualifying for Sunday’s race.

The value doesn’t stop at FanFest, as Nashville-based recording artist Maggie Baugh will perform in the Display Lot on Sunday morning.

Baugh, who’s current song “Catch Me If You Can” is in regular rotation on Country Music Television, has performed with artists such as Jake Owen, Lee Brice and Parmalee.

The performance is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning and is free to the public.

The STP 500 weekend is March 22-24.

The weekend starts with a practice day for the truck series on Friday, followed by a Truck Series autograph session and the Hauler Parade.

On Saturday, the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is in action with the Martinsville 250. Following the race the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will qualify for Sunday’s STP 500.

Sunday the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is in action with the running of the STP 500. The race is the first short-track race of the season and the first race back on the East Coast after the Series’ “West Coast Swing.”

Advance ticket prices for the STP 500 begin at $47 with youth tickets for fans 17-and-under just $25 regardless of location. Youth 17-and-under are admitted free to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series 250 lap race on Saturday. Friday’s practice day is free to everyone.
