Chicagoland Speedway Announces Facility Tour Program for 2019

Chicagoland Speedway announced today a new guided tour program, starting April 12 to October 15, 2019. Guests will receive a behind-the-scenes look at The Magnificent Mile and a Half, exploring Chicagoland Speedway inside and out with a knowledgeable member of the Chicagoland Speedway staff.

Tours will last approximately one hour and are scheduled for the second Friday and third Tuesday of every month. Special tours will be offered for schools, summer camps and nonprofit groups which include a stop for a sack lunch. All tour dates are subject to change at any time for any reason and viewing areas are dependent upon Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Raceway events and rentals.

General admission tickets are as follows: $20 for adults, $15 per person in parties of 10 or more, $5 for active military/veterans and youth under 12. Children 5 and under are free. All proceeds benefit Chicagoland Speedway’s charitable entity Racing Advocates for Community Enrichment (R.A.C.E.), a Donor Advised Fund of the NASCAR Foundation.

The tour will begin at the presidential suite above the grandstands, presenting visitors with an immaculate view of the tri-oval. From there, guests will be escorted to the roof for an exclusive look from the spotters’ stand. Fans will also be taken to the infield for a chance to celebrate like a race winning in Gatorade Victory Lane, take an iconic photo at the start/finish line and even leave a signature behind. The tour will culminate in the media center, giving fans a chance to take a seat in the pressroom.

“This is a fantastic chance for our fans to get a behind the curtain look at Chicagoland Speedway,” said Chicagoland Speedway President Scott Paddock. “We are always looking for new and different ways to showcase our premiere facility to racing enthusiasts, visitors and community partners and the tour program is the ideal opportunity to do just that.”

Additionally, visitors have the option to travel across the street to visit Chicagoland Speedway’s sister track, Route 66 Raceway, the first true stadium of drag racing. Guests will receive a top deck view of the world’s premier drag racing facility, as well as the opportunity to walk on the drag strip.

Fans can reserve their spot now by calling 815-722-4166 or emailing [email protected]. Guests are asked to park in at the administration building located at Gate 1 off Schweitzer Rd. Tours will be given rain or shine.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway will take place in June as part of the four-race weekend June 27 – June 30. The weekend will kick off on Thursday, June 27 with the ARCA Racing Series followed by NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 under the lights on Friday night. On Saturday, the NASCAR Xfinity Series Camping World 300 will hit the track as the precursor to Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Camping World 400 showdown.
