Richmond Raceway & Dominion Energy Partner for Military Appreciation Program

Richmond Raceway (Richmond) and Dominion Energy are joining forces to thank past and present military members through the track’s Military Appreciation Program. Dominion Energy will be naming rights sponsor of the program and hospitality area. The official names will be Richmond Raceway Military Appreciation presented by Dominion Energy and Richmond Raceway Military Hospitality presented by Dominion Energy.

“Richmond Raceway has a longstanding history of honoring our nation’s military, and with Dominion Energy’s partnership we are now able to do that on a larger scale,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “Dominion Energy has a tremendous impact on veterans and active duty military in the greater Richmond region and throughout the Commonwealth, so it is great to partner with an organization that values service members like Richmond Raceway does. We look forward to continuing to show our appreciation for the military with the help of Dominion Energy during the NASCAR event weekends.”

Dominion Energy has a lengthy history of supporting the greater Richmond region’s military members. The organization has made providing support to the military, veterans, and their families a priority, dating back to World War I. At Dominion Energy, one in five new hires is a military veteran. Recently, G.I. Jobs ranked Dominion Energy No. 5 in its 2019 list of the top military-friendly companies nationwide. The company also connects veterans with careers in the energy industry through their Troops to Energy Jobs program.

“For decades, Dominion Energy has supported our nation’s active duty military, reservists and veterans,” said Bill Murray, senior vice president – Corporate Affairs and Communications at Dominion Energy. “It is an honor to host our veterans in partnership with the Richmond Raceway and to show our appreciation of their defense of our nation.”

Richmond Raceway Military Appreciation presented by Dominion Energy has become one of the more popular ticket offers at America’s Premier Short Track.
