Kellie Pickler To Perform before Food City 500

Country music sensation Kellie Pickler will perform in the Pepsi pre-race concert at Bristol Motor Speedway prior to the Food City 500 March 18.

Pickler, who hails from Albemarle, N.C., is looking forward to singing for fans at the Food City 500.

“Two of my favorite things are singing country music and driving fast,” she said, “so I can’t wait to get to Bristol and the NASCAR Food City 500 to do both!”

Pickler recently released her third album, 100 Proof, a diverse collection that showcases Pickler’s ability to appreciate country music while helping build its future. Pickler, who wrote much of the album, goes traditional with “Stop Cheatin’ on Me”, “Where’s Tammy Wynette?” along with “Mother’s Day” and “The Letter.”

The 25-year-old Pickler shot to stardom after finishing sixth on the fifth season of American Idol in 2005. Among the hits from her first two albums, Small Town Girl and the self-titled Kellie Pickler, are “Red High Heels”, “I Wonder”, “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful”, “Best Days Of Your Life”, “Things That Never Cross A Man’s Mind”, and “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You”.
