MetroPCS Signs Multi-Year Deal With TMS

MetroPCS, one of the leading providers of wireless service in the United States, has signed a multi-year partnership with Texas Motor Speedway beginning immediately that will be concentrated on the two major NASCAR race weekends at the world-renowned motorsports facility.

MetroPCS, with headquarters in Richardson, Texas, features a popular wireless plan with no annual contract and unlimited 4G LTE capability and will be the first wireless network provider to have a featured presence throughout Texas Motor Speedway’s expansive 1,500-acre property since Sprint left the sport as the title sponsor of the Cup Series at the end of 2016. MetroPCS signage and branding will be significant during April’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 NASCAR doubleheader weekend and November’s AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Playoffs tripleheader.

“To have MetroPCS, a locally-based and nationally recognized company, come on board for our NASCAR weekends is just a tremendous boost,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “With the large volume of fans walking through our gates and around our property during NASCAR race weekends, we are confident MetroPCS will see tremendous value in this partnership.”

T-Mobile US Inc., the parent company of MetroPCS, recently expanded its regional headquarters in Frisco, bringing in an additional 350 jobs. The move to the nearly 30,000 square feet of office space significantly increases T-Mobile’s footprint in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The partnership will be highlighted by an Ultimate Fan Giveaway contest at both NASCAR weekends, where one lucky fan in April and November will be given the opportunity to upgrade their racing weekend. The winner will be provided an RV for the weekend to be staged in the Texas Motor Speedway infield. They will also be given passes to attend the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Drivers’ Meeting and celebrate with the race winner and his team in Victory Lane.

The only place to register for the Ultimate Fan Giveaway is at select stores across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

In addition to the sweepstakes, MetroPCS will host a station in the Texas Motor Speedway FanZone, where the company will provide prizes, information and opportunities to connect with the massive NASCAR fan base.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 doubleheader features the My Bariatric Solutions 300 XFINITY Series race Saturday, April 7 and O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race Sunday, April 8. In the fall, NASCAR returns to Fort Worth with a tripleheader weekend of postseason racing consisting of the Camping World Truck Series JAG Metals 350 on Friday, Nov. 2; XFINITY Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 on Saturday, Nov. 3; and the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series AAA Texas 500 on Sunday, Nov. 4.
