PIR Night of Champions Event

Fans can kick off one of the Phoenix area’s biggest party weekends by celebrating the start of the 2012 NASCAR season and the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500™ at Phoenix International Raceway’s annual Night of Champions charity event. Festivities begin Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at Frank & Albert’s, located at the legendary Arizona Biltmore.

Fine food and friendly people will highlight the night in which attendees will mingle with celebrity guests including recently inducted NASCAR Hall of Famer Darrell Waltrip, Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt and the yet to be crowned 2012 Daytona 500® champion. All proceeds benefit the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center and The MVP Foundation.

“The Night of Champions is a lot of fun because we will not know who the driver is until four days before our event,” said PIR President Bryan R. Sperber.  “Our fans and business partners love the relaxed atmosphere and access to celebrities, and they look forward to returning and bringing friends.”

Tickets to the Night of Champions can be purchased by visiting www.themvpfoundation.org. Sponsorship packages are available by calling PIR Corporate Sales at (623) 463-5400, and include exclusive meet and greet opportunities as well as an array of benefits throughout the NASCAR event weekend at PIR.

Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center’s mission is to eliminate cancer through programs that integrate outstanding patient care, research, education and prevention. The MVP Foundation is an Arizona-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that leverages the power of professional sports to provide opportunities, support and resources to children and families in need.
