“Race to the 4th” Independence Day Bach Returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway

A firework show for the ages will ignite the sky this Fourth of July, as the “Race to the 4th” Independence Day bash hosted by the City of Homestead returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the eighth consecutive year. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 4, from 6-10 p.m. and is free for all guests.

A sea of red, white and blue will descend upon the track, treating guests to live music, food trucks and kids activities, including midway-style amusement rides and rock climbing. Last year’s event boasted more than 25,000 attendees, with even more expected for this year’s spectacle.

Local staple, Main Highway, will kick off the festivities on stage performing classic rock and roll jams, while up-and-coming country artist Ricky Valido and The Hialeah Hillbillies will play a mix of classic and original songs. This salute to all things America will culminate with the best fireworks show in South Florida—a dazzling display of pyrotechnics synced to a mix of pop hits and patriotic tunes.

The Champions Club, which offers a preferred view of the fireworks display from eight stories atop Turn 1 of the championship track, will play host to a special VIP event. A limited number of $20 tickets for guests 13 and older are now available for purchase at the City of Homestead Parks and Recreation Department, 350 SE 6th Avenue, Homestead, FL 33030. Tickets for children from 7 to 12 years old are $10, and children who are under 6 years old can get into the Champions Club for free with a ticket. Tickets include VIP parking inside the ticket gates along with food and soft drinks inside the Champions Club.
