Here’s a look at 2024’s Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health – by the numbers:
5 million: Step into a Christmas wonderland as over 5 million twinkling lights – many of which are synchronized to cheery holiday music – transform Charlotte Motor Speedway into a dazzling spectacle of whimsy and wonder. With bright and festive new displays added, this year’s Speedway Christmas is sure to create unforgettable holiday memories for fans of all ages.
20,000: From the infield to the concourse, feel the magic as you drive through the Southeast’s largest drive-thru light show. Spanning over 20,000 feet, visitors will embark on a sensational journey illuminated by Christmas magic stretching over four miles, including portions of the famed 1.5-mile superspeedway and the innovative road course.
500: Right outside the infield Christmas Village, the enchanting Walking Trail has expanded, more than double the size from last year. Stretching over 500 feet, guests can wander through a magical journey of twists and turns with twinkling lights and cheerful decorations in every corner. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the magic.
250: Slide into the holiday spirit with the Cook Out Tubing Hill, located in the Charlotte Motor Speedway Fan Zone. Open Nightly Thursday-Sunday, visitors can experience the thrill of gliding down one of four 250-foot slopes, adding a touch of adventure to the holiday season. The Tubing Hill operates separately from Speedway Christmas, so guests can make a special trip – or several – down the hill for just $20 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under.
135: Adding an extra touch of Christmas magic, holiday elves in Santa’s Workshop have been hard at work producing more than 135 new figurines to be placed throughout both the Walking Trail and drive-thru light display, taking this year’s show to the next level. From a stunning Italian Christmas tree to a charming gingerbread family, these adorable additions are sure to brighten the hearts of even the grinchiest of guests.
44: Starting Nov. 22, Speedway Christmas, presented by Atrium Health, will light up the night sky for 44 days, offering visitors a bevy of opportunities to make holiday memories with interactive displays, seasonal treats and festive fun. The show is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly through Jan. 5, closing only on Christmas Eve to give Santa and his helpers the night off.
13: Every Thursday through Sunday, take a stroll through the Christmas Village, and check out the Speedway Children’s Charities 13 Trees of Hope. Each uniquely designed by local charities, these 13 trees are set to shine a light on important causes, while educating guests on impactful missions throughout the holiday season.
7: Catch some of your favorite holiday films back on the big screen with seven Queen City News Movie Nights. Every Thursday through Sunday starting at 6:30 p.m., tune into 105.1 FM and enjoy classics like “The Polar Express” and “Home Alone” – drive-in style. Park in the infield, grab some snacks and get ready to experience the magic of the season all from the comfort of your own car.
1: Only at Charlotte Motor Speedway can you find a one-of-a-kind Toyota Camry Stock Car made entirely of festive Christmas lights.
